Nilayo Sports Management Limited, NSML has concluded all arrangement to organize Ijebu International Half Marathon scheduled to hold in July, 2021 in Ijebu- Ode, Ogun State.

Mr Bukola Olopade, the Chief Executive Officer of Nilayo Sports Management limited is delighted that the International Half Marathon has received supports from all and sundry in Ogun State.

“We are very excited for this international road race in Ogun state. The Ijebu International Half Marathon is a 21 Kilometer race and the route will start from the newly constructed Epe-Ijebu road and will end at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium,”said Olopade who sees the International Half Marathon as an opportunity for Ogun athletes to compete with other athletes outside Nigeria.

The Ijebu International Half Marathon was supported by Ijebu Heritage Club. The club is an outstanding as sons and daughters who belong to the club thought it wise to have an international marathon in Ijebu land.

Ogun State Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde reiterated the commitment of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to empower the youths through sports in the state.

The commissioner commended Nilayo Sports Management Limited for putting up the race at this crucial moment and enjoined all participants to take the race in the spirit of friendship. He reminded the participants not to forget to follow all laid down health rules, safety standards & precautions during and after the marathon.

Mr. Sulaiman Adebayo, the Head Communications and Media of Ijebu International Half Marathon said the race will open a new opportunity for runners in Ogun state noting that the race will also bring Ogun state to world limelight.
